Packing for our *first* (mini-)vacation
I’m making a list, checking it twice, trying to make sure I don’t forget anything as Joy and I prepare to head off to sunny Arizona for a week. My boss is getting hitched, and we’ve been invited to the reception. It’s been a year since I’ve been there… most of the guys I interact with came on board since my visit, so I have several people to meet.Our last travel of leisure was our honeymoon, and that was 4.465434634 years ago when we went to Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. That was Joy’s first time on a jet. Although I’ll be mixing some business and pleasure, we’ll be seeing the Grand Canyon, Sedona, and I’m very excited about meeting a certain fellow from a certain IRC chat channel. We’ll be staying at my boss’ house. Like most people there, he’s got a pool.
Joy has been busy planning our trip. Her parents have been RV’ing around the south this winter, and they’ll be joining us as well (they are our ride to the Grand Canyon)! Lots of fun ahead. Feel those rays of sunshine!
